1–3 / Establish the duty
Record useful thermal demand, normal and peak load, and the required pressure or temperatures. Validate seasonal operation and the critical process that sets the requirement. Avoid automatically replacing like-for-like when loads have changed.
4–7 / Define the site
Survey removal and installation access, existing utilities, ventilation and stack arrangements, and distribution connections. Identify water-quality requirements, controls integration and equipment clearances. Confirm an engineered basis with the responsible project professionals.
8–10 / Plan the transition
Choose an outage window, assess temporary capacity, and assign regulatory and commissioning responsibilities. Request itemized proposals and defined acceptance criteria. Keep a single equipment brief so suppliers quote the same scope.
