Build a load schedule
Document design supply and return temperatures, heating demand, flow, glycol concentration and ambient design conditions. Separate process loads from space heating so seasonal turndown is visible. Water-side pressure drop and pump selection matter alongside boiler output.
Condensing performance
Condensing operation depends on return-water temperature and fuel characteristics. Do not assume a quoted peak efficiency applies throughout the year. Review the building or process reset strategy, emitter temperatures and materials compatibility.
Check plant integration
Evaluate expansion provisions, air removal, water quality, existing controls, system volume and freeze protection. Equipment classification, exemptions, installation approvals and operating requirements must be assessed for the actual installation.
